OCQ(V) - Cymorth – TB
This training course, which has been paid for by the Welsh Government and developed in conjunction with APHA, prepares Official Veterinarians (OVs) to deliver Cymorth TB, which provides advice, support and bespoke veterinary interventions for Welsh herd keepers affected by bovine TB.
The Cymorth TB veterinary programme seeks to provide private veterinarians with the information and training they require to deliver a high quality, herd health focussed, disease management farm visit. The visit includes the TB disease management process; farm/herd biosecurity; and informed purchasing – amongst other issues. Candidates undertaking this course must already hold OCQ(V) - ES (Essential Skills) or VPHB (Veterinary Public Health Basics).
All the training and assessment is completed online after registering via your Personal Training Dashboard.
This course gives 15 hours of CPD.
The Welsh Government has a number of subsidised places; those who are eligible for the subsidised places should contact the TB Team at Welsh Government and will be given a code to enter as "payment". For any queries about the subsidised places, please contact bovinetb@wales.gov.uk.
In order to do certain Cymorth related work for the Welsh Government, and others, it will be necessary to hold this qualification.

Mae'r cwrs hyfforddi hwn, y mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi talu amdano a'i ddatblygu ar y cyd ag APHA, yn paratoi Milfeddygon Swyddogol i ddarparu Cymorth TB, sy'n darparu cyngor, cefnogaeth ac ymyraethau milfeddygol penodol ar gyfer ceidwaid buchesau Cymreig sydd eisoes wedi eu heffeithio gan TB buchol.
Mae'r rhaglen filfeddygol Cymorth TB yn ceisio darparu'r wybodaeth a hyfforddiant i filfeddygon preifat maent ei angen i ddarparu ymweliad fferm rheoli clefyd o ansawdd uchel sy'n canolbwyntio ar iechyd buches. Mae'r ymweliad yn cynnwys y broses rheoli TB; bioddiogelwch fferm/buches; a phrynu gwybodus – ymysg materion eraill. Rhaid i ymgeiswyr sy'n cwblhau'r modwl hyn eisoes feddu ar OCQ(V) - ES (Sgiliau Hanfodol) ac VPHB.
Mae'r holl hyfforddiant ac asesiad yn cael ei gwblhau ar-lein wedi cofrestru trwy'ch Dangosfwrdd Hyfforddi Personol.
Mae'r cwrs hwn yn rhoi 15 awr o Datblygiad Proffesiynol Parhaus.
